Policymakers around the world were gathered at the United Nations in New York from 24 to 26 June 2009, as part of the United Nations conference on the theme: "The financial crisis and global economic and its impact on development. " The rank of senior politicians at the conference include: HE Mr. Evo Morales, President of the State of Bolivia, HE Mr. Ralph E. Gonsalves, Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Economic Development of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, HE Mr. Stephenson King, Prime Minister Siante Lucia. In total, over 170 delegations from Member States have participated in the five days of debate.
