ELECTION OF CAMEROON TO THE BOARD OF HUMAN RIGHTS OF THE UNITED NATIONS

On May 12, 2009, members of the Council of Human Rights have been elected by the UN General Assembly for a term of three years. Six African countries (Mauritius, Nigeria, Djibouti, Senegal, Kenya and Cameroon) were competing to serve on this body of Human Rights of the United Nations for the posts reserved for Africa.
